Austin Toastmasters Club is a growing club with 35 active members. Even at that size, their manual scheduling process was starting to eat up too much officer time every week.
Robert Fe, the Club President, was spending 4+ hours every week coordinating schedules, sending reminders, and trying to remember which members wanted specific roles. For a smaller club, paying $150 per year for software still felt expensive, so spreadsheets lingered longer than they should have.
"We looked at Easy-Speak, but $150/year felt steep for a small club," Robert explains. "When we found Toastmanagers—completely free with more features—it was a no-brainer."
The role preference system has been transformative for Austin Toastmasters. Members can now indicate which roles they enjoy, which they want to learn, and which they'd rather avoid. That gives officers a better starting point while still keeping opportunities fair.
"Don't think you need to be a huge club to benefit from Toastmanagers," Robert advises. "Whether you have 10 members or 100, the time savings and improved member experience are worth it. And being free? That's just icing on the cake."
